Development Delayed Adolescents with Sexual Misconduct Issues
Providing intensive treatment for moderate to high risk, intellectually-challenged adolescents with sexual misconduct issues, ages 13-17. This program treats males whose IQ is between 50-70 and have a history of sexual offenses or other acute sexual problems, either adjudicated or non-adjudicated, such as: sexual assault, child molestation, inappropriate internet/social media use, voyeurism, exhibitionism, fetishes, etc.
Treatment is designed to accommodate the specific cognitive, behavioral, and emotional abilities of the intellectually challenged adolescent. This unit staffing includes a nurse who is specifically assigned to the unit.
Psychological services provide comprehensive assessment of intellectual functioning, learning disabilities, and adaptive skills. Sexual behavior assessments are conducted when deemed appropriate.
