Services

In our residential Behavioral Misconduct program, Benchmark Behavioral Health provides 24-hour supervision for teen males between the ages of 13–17. The youth in our Behavioral Misconduct program have various psychiatric issues such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, reactive attachment, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant, depression or other problem areas that have resulted in their dismissal from other outpatient services or other treatment facilities.

Through our treatment program, each resident has an individual treatment plan, which is based on history and evaluations given during the admission process to help diagnose problem areas. Each of our residents receives individual, family and group therapy, which also includes medication management. Residents also receive educational services through our own nationally accredited on-campus school with special education certified teachers. And residents can receive recreational therapy, where they learn skills needed for daily living and enjoyment.

Benchmark Behavioral Health provides residential programming and 24-hour supervision for adolescent males with sexualized behavior issues (most are adjudicated for sexual offenses). Our sexual misconduct milieus are designed for teens ages 13-17. The youth in this program often have a myriad of psychiatric issues, such as impulse control, sexual abuse, anxiety, bipolar disorder, reactive attachment, depression or other problem areas that led to failure in outpatient services or other treatment facilities.

The Benchmark School at Benchmark Behavioral Health is designed to provide a positive learning environment, differentiated instructional strategies and quality instruction to help students become lifelong learners. Certified special education teachers work closely with home school districts to develop Individualized Education Plans that meet each student’s needs, and to provide appropriate special education services. Instruction is differentiated and accommodations are made for our diverse student population. The Benchmark School believes in providing positive reinforcement and timely feedback that recognizes individual student success, builds confidence and encourages appropriate behavior.

Through the Vocational Program at Benchmark Behavioral Health, youth have the opportunity to experience and learn life skills such as going through the job application process, completing an interview, clocking in and out, receiving a paycheck and getting an employee evaluation. All residential employees are mentored by our on-site job coach, who instructs and encourages youth throughout each stage of the program.
